I found a scripture out of the Bible that people tend to use
to control others and keep them in an organized religion and their set of
doctrines. What I found was the opposite when I read the whole chapter of that
book. The One verse that they use is:
1 John 4:
3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof
ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Those who are into religious doctrine and dogma profess that
if you do not confess that Jesus is the Savior you cannot be saved. This is not
how I read the whole of the chapter. It goes to tell you that if you love then
you are already God's and you already know Jesus Christ because they are
already connected and in you. There is no doubt in my reading and in my mind
that the whole chapter does not tell you this. There is no mention of sins or
any of that. Now this gets me to wondering why those who put the Bible together
and mistranslated several things and took out and changed them about the
purpose that they *accidentally* left this in there. It does away with the
church as a provider to save your soul or put you in Hell.
You can read it yourself and deduct you own conclusions.
This version is King James.
1 JOHN 4
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits
whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the
world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that
confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof
ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:
because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world,
and the world heareth them.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is
not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit
of error.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and
every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because
that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through
him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved
us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one
another.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another,
God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because
he hath given us of his Spirit.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the
Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God
dwelleth in him, and he in God.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to
us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness
in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out
fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
We love him, because he first loved us.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a
liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God
whom he hath not seen?
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth
God love his brother also.
This version is Young's Literal Translation:
1 JOHN 4
Beloved, every spirit believe not, but prove the spirits,
if of God they are, because many false prophets have gone forth to the world; in this know ye the Spirit of God; every spirit that doth
confess Jesus Christ in the flesh having come, of God it is, and every spirit that doth not confess Jesus Christ in the
flesh having come, of God it is not; and this is that of the antichrist, which
ye heard that it doth come, and now in the world it is already.
Ye -- of God ye are, little children, and ye have overcome
them; because greater is He who [is] in you, than he who is in the world.
They -- of the world they are; because of this from the
world they speak, and the world doth hear them; we -- of God we are; he who is knowing God doth hear us; he
who is not of God, doth not hear us; from this we know the spirit of the truth,
and the spirit of the error.
Beloved, may we love one another, because the love is of
God, and every one who is loving, of God he hath been begotten, and doth know
God; he who is not loving did not know God, because God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God in us, because His
Son -- the only begotten -- hath God sent to the world, that we may live
through him; in this is the love, not that we loved God, but that He
did love us, and did send His Son a propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if thus did God love us, we also ought one
another to love; God no one hath ever seen; if we may love one another, God
in us doth remain, and His love is having been perfected in us; in this we know that in Him we do remain, and He in us,
because of His Spirit He hath given us.
And we -- we have seen and do testify, that the Father
hath sent the Son -- Saviour of the world; whoever may confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God in
him doth remain, and he in God; and we -- we have known and believed the love, that God
hath in us; God is love, and he who is remaining in the love, in God he doth
remain, and God in him.
In this made perfect hath been the love with us, that
boldness we may have in the day of the judgment, because even as He is, we --
we also are in this world; fear is not in the love, but the perfect love doth cast
out the fear, because the fear hath punishment, and he who is fearing hath not
been made perfect in the love; we -- we love him, because He -- He first loved us; if any one may say -- `I love God,' and his brother he may
hate, a liar he is; for he who is not loving his brother whom he hath seen, God
-- whom he hath not seen -- how is he able to love?
and this [is] the command we have from Him, that he who is
loving God, may also love his brother.
There are slight differences. The main object to this
chapter is to tell the readers that If you Love, Then You Know God and Jesus
and If you do that, Then You are God....................not a part of God.
You Are A God!
That is what it says, plain as day and in black and white, unless
they mistranslated it and adjusted it otherwise. Now being a God doesn't make
you better than anyone else because we are all gods. Did you get that? We are
all gods and we are all equal. Now some of you may read into this a god is all
powerful. Well yes we are. We make up our own world and our own lessons and we
have the Free Will to learn those lessons in the manner in which we will learn
the best.
Being a god doesn't mean you are on a pedestal because if
you think like that then you will fall off the pedestal real quick.
God/You is helping us to be and to realize that we are a god. We
grow spiritually through the lessons that we choose. Jesus came to teach us
that. He and God rejoice with us when we learn those lessons and accomplish our
goals. At the same time he doesn't hate us or punish us because we failed to
learn a lesson. We just get up and try it again. There is no right or wrong way
to learn them.
Love and Fear Are Not Compatible
1 John 4:
fear is not in the love, but the perfect love doth cast
out the fear, because the fear hath punishment, and he who is fearing hath not
been made perfect in the love;
we -- we love him, because He -- He first loved us;
if any one may say -- `I love God,' and his brother he may
hate, a liar he is; for he who is not loving his brother whom he hath seen, God
-- whom he hath not seen -- how is he able to love?
Here again he says that you cannot fear God if you love. If
you love then you know and are god. Very simple. There is no room for fear. The
only ones who don't know god are the ones who say to fear him..........hahaha,
funny isn't that what the religious doctrines tell you to do?
Definition Of LOVE In Biblical Terms
1 Corinthians 13 (Young's Literal Translation)
1 CORINTHIANS 13
If with the tongues
of men and of messengers I speak, and have not love, I have become brass
sounding, or a cymbal tinkling; and if I have prophecy,
and know all the secrets, and all the knowledge, and if I have all the faith,
so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing; and if I give away
to feed others all my goods, and if I give up my body that I may be burned, and
have not love, I am profited nothing.
The love is
long-suffering, it is kind, the love doth not envy, the love doth not vaunt
itself, is not puffed up, doth not act
unseemly, doth not seek its own things, is not provoked, doth not impute evil,
rejoiceth not over
the unrighteousness, and rejoiceth with the truth; all things it
beareth, all it believeth, all it hopeth, all it endureth.
The love doth never
fail; and whether [there be] prophecies, they shall become useless; whether
tongues, they shall cease; whether knowledge, it shall become useless; for in part we know,
and in part we prophecy; and when that which
is perfect may come, then that which [is] in part shall become useless.
When I was a babe,
as a babe I was speaking, as a babe I was thinking, as a babe I was reasoning,
and when I have become a man, I have made useless the things of the babe; for we see now
through a mirror obscurely, and then face to face; now I know in part, and then
I shall fully know, as also I was known; and now there doth
remain faith, hope, love -- these three; and the greatest of these [is] love.

There is a song they play on KLOVE with the words "greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." in it that I just love.
ReplyDeleteWe recently studied 1st John in Bible study.
We are using a book that I can't think of the name of right now, but it has verses and then opening questions, explore it questions, get it questions, then an apply it.
Getting out my papers it says 1John 4: 1-6 is Test the Spirits and 1 John 4:7-21 is God's love and ours.
So why do some not believe what they are studying, I wonder. Is this class open for anybody or just for a few?
DeleteI have a few pages here and one of them in how I became a Minister, if you can read them. I noticed that you cannot add tags to pages, so I do not know how people are supposed to read them.
Thank you very much for your nice comment. You do not know how much that is appreciated.
